Providing Support from Tornado Aftermath to the Shawnee Community

Our Shawnee location was prepared to serve grilled hotdogs to our neighbors at the Brookdale assisted living center when a tornado struck. The assisted living center was closed and empty because all the residents were temporarily relocated to the sister facility in Ada, but there was still a lot to be done. We saw the need, chose to start up the grill, and share our hotdogs, chips, and soft drinks with the entire community of Shawnee as they all joined together to start the cleanup process after the tornado aftermath.

Our passion for serving is not just for our patients and their families. We had the honor to serve health care workers, first responders, contractors, and the families of one of the communities we call home. Not only were we able to help by serving a warm meal, but also by providing beds where they were needed and more. Bringing joy and hope through food and local support is just one of the many ways Centric Health is part of your community. Our hearts go out to the patients and residents that are affected and cherish the unity we’ve seen in this community from so many.
